Ether Renewal Question (Old players only please)
My friend said that [ether [email protected]] used to have the PvE version, switch because it was to powerful. I'm saying it was always PvP version until the update to buff it.
Who is right? My friend saying [[ether renewal (pve)] version had changed a while back or me, saying it always used to be the PvP version until the update. 5k on the line and I can't find an answer Last edited by Zodiac Meteor; May 15, 2009 at 09:00 AM // 09:00.. Scouring through the history of the wiki's tells me.
May 2005 - For 10 seconds, each time you cast a spell, you gain 1-4 energy and 5-17 health for each enchantment on you. September 2005 - For 7 seconds, each time you cast a spell, you gain 1...3 Energy and 5...17 Health for each "Enchantment" on you 24 May 2008 (PvE-PvP Skill Split) *PvE - For 5...17 seconds, each time you cast a spell, you gain 1...3 Energy and 5...17 Health for each Enchantment on you. *PvP - For 7 seconds, each time you cast a spell, you gain 1...3 Energy and 5...17 Health for each Enchantment on you. here's the 2 updates that will answer ur question on may 2008: Ether Renewal: increased duration to 5..20 seconds; increased Energy gain to 1..4. this was the update that seperated the pvp/pve into seperate skills and this was a pve buff to RESTORE it back to its original function as pvp had it nerfed on sept 2008: Ether Renewal (pvp): decreased duration to 7 seconds; decreased the amount of Energy you gain to 1..3 per Enchantment. the pvp version was nerfed again on this update. so as u can see on may 2008 when the pvp skills were first made, the skill ether Renewal was made into 2 versions. the pvp one stayed the nerfed way, and the pve version was restored back to its original 20secs lasting so this means that Ether Renewal did indeed used to last 20secs in BOTH pve/pvp. so srry but ur friend is right, the pvp version was a nerf that made the pve version that bad and useless they had to make 2 versions when the pvp/pve skills update happened. so do i get 50% of the 5k? |

You're both wrong.
Ether Renewal was originally: 10e - 1c - 30r : For 10 seconds, each time you cast a spell, you gain 1...4 energy and 5...17 health for each enchantment on you. This is an elite skill. It was nerfed in september 2005 after people displayed it's enormeous energy imbalance as bonders and smiters. So the current PvE version has (potentially) a longer duration, and the PvP version is still the result of the 2005 nerf. |
